Here at Pittsburgh Blitz we often look for other sources to get our Pittsburgh sporting news from, to gain ideas for blogs, etc., The one thing we consistently find is that we have to go to several different sources to get news, rumors or fan input on all the different Pittsburgh sports teams. Nor can we find a good sports site that offers the fans a place to voice their opinion, or share in a social atmospher. Sure there is Bleacher Report, but there you have to shift through all the leagues and teams to find your Pittsburgh sports news.
Well that all changes soon as Pittsburgh Blitz will soon transform into a complete fan based Pittsburgh sporting and social network. In the process we will be looking for partners to help run different sections of the site. We will need baseball, football, hockey and college fans of all the Pittsburgh teams, from the pros to the minors to the schools.Our goal is to bring our readers news on every possible Pittsburgh team, including the ones no one else talks about.
What is a “Partner” well basically as a partner with Pittsburgh Blitz you would become an editor of certain sections of the site. Wether it be Baseball, Football, etc., Your responsibility will be to grow the specific section, bring on other writers and write content for the section you are responsible for.
What does this opertunity pay? Well right now we are a non-profit fan blog, so not much. But those who prove themselves and become cherished members of the community as a partner will be able to broker their own advertising deals, put adsense and other monitizing options on their specific section of the site.
So in essance if you are the baseball editor for example and after proving that you are with us for the long haul, you would be able to monitize the baseball section of the site with your own ads and such and collect all revenue generated from them.
The wonderful thing about this oppertunity is that “Partners” are welcome to be bloggers from around the community and be allowed to post materials from their own blogs on Pittsburgh Blitz. Of course all materials posted would need to be Pittsburgh sports related.
Our hopes is to transform PB before the draft, until then we will be making several changes to the site to make it happen and during that time we will be looking to add “Partners” who have knowledge of Pittsburgh sports such as football, baseball, hockey, pro, minor or college, fan blogging and wordpress.
