Breaking: Steelers Todd Haley will not be back

Todd Haley will apparently not be back as the Steelers’ offensive coordinator.

Todd Haley will apparently not be back as the Steelers’ offensive coordinator.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Wednesday that the Steelers will not re-sign Haley, the team’s offensive coordinator since the start of the 2012 season.

Pittsburgh’s offense finished third in the NFL this season in yards per game (377.9), third in passing (273.8) and eighth in scoring (25.4). The team may replace Haley with either quarterbacks coach Randy Fichtner or offensive line coach Mike Munchak, who reportedly declined a second interview to be the Cardinals’ next head coach.

While Haley is reportedly out, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has reported, per source, that Mike Tomlin has told his entire defensive staff that they are “safe” for the 2018 season.
