Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount Arrested

Le’ Dumb and Le’ Dumber, Bell and Blount Busted for Celebrating 4/20 a Little Late

The Steelers’ top two running backs were arrested together today.

Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount, Pittsburgh’s first- and second-string running backs, were in a car together and stopped by Ross Township Police this afternoon. Detective Brian Kohlhepp of the Ross Police Department tells PFT that a motorcycle officer smelled marijuana smoke coming from the car and pulled it over. Police found a baggy containing about 20 grams of marijuana in the car.

Both Bell and Blount are expected to be charged with possession of marijuana. Bell is also expected to be charged with driving under the influence. An unidentified female in the car is also expected to be charged with possession of marijuana. According to police, all three people in the car admitted that the marijuana belonged to all of them.

The Steelers took Bell in the second round of last year’s draft, and he won the starting job as a rookie. He carried 244 times for 860 yards and eight touchdowns last year.

Blount signed with the Steelers this offseason after spending last year in New England, where he had 772 yards and seven touchdowns on 153 carries.

Bell and Blount could both now be subject to league discipline, but likely not until the case is resolved.

So your telling me these two idiots, who are making millions and being counted on by the Steelers organization to produce and be a huge part of the team, left practice, got in their car and fired up a fatty with no regard to the possibility of their public actions being detected? How stupid are they?

Now I am not against guys smoking the whacky tabaca, as far as I am concerned it should be legal, so I won’t judge on them doing so. But for goodness sakes do it responsibly. Wait till your safe at home and sitting on the deck. Then by all means fire up the doobage and relax and put a long hard day to rest. But DON’T put your career, team and other peoples life’s at risk and do it while driving down the boulevard. That is just plain dumb. That is asking for trouble, that shows lack of character and that will earn you a one way ticket off the team and out of the NFL if you don’t wise up.

Le’ Dumb and Le’ Dumber I feel you; I understand you are just trying to unwind and enjoy life. I don’t have an issue with the act of smoking pot. I don’t believe anyone has the right to tell you that you can’t smoke pot. But for the sake of those fans that see you as the saviors of our beloved Steelers, those fans who buy the tickets and your jerseys, who actually pay your salary, grow the hell up and learn some respect for the rules. Learn to be responsible when you break them and keep yourselves out of jail in the process.

  1. Jeremy

My thoughts exactly!! What wonderful role models for our children. My son’s bell jersey is heading to the trash can.

  2. Not that I condone any of this behavior, but here are some things to think about…
    1) Don’t smoke pot in public. That’s just retarded. If you can’t do it while walking down the street you sure as he’ll can’t do it in a car in public streets. You. Idiots.
    2) If you are going to smoke pot in public, don’t do it in a car with the windows rolled up. This makes it seem like there is REAL danger as passers-by notice smoke billowing from the windows.
    3) As an added note, don’t have tinted windows. That just makes anyone looks shady as hell. It also serves as another reason people start panicking when the see smoke coming out of the wrong places in your car.
    4) It seems that if one is going to toke up in a car they should treat it as if it were a cigarette. You always crack the window to vent the smoke. So do that. If one is unable, find a way to get the smell out of the car inconspicuously.
