Pittsburgh Steelers Injury Report: Week 3 against the Chicago Bears:
As the Pittsburgh Steelers get ready to face the Chicago Bears this Sunday night, a game in which yours truly will be attending, the team has submitted their final injury report. Some rumors this week may have had the fans hopeful as to certain returning players but as of this reporting there are no surprises.
After failing to practice again on Friday, the injured Cortez Allen has been ruled out with an ankle injury. Allen injured his ankle in the opener and the team had hopes he would return this week but he is not expected to play unfortunately. Looks like the team will have to rely on William Gay once again. Oh yippi!
Listed as questionable on the injury list is running back Le’Veon Bell. After getting more work on Friday the team has his listed as questionable but he is again not expected to play, which pushes Felix Jones into the starting role once again. Maybe this week Mr. Haley will actually give him the rock more than a few times and not abandon the run in the second half after panicking too early once again.
Rookie linebacker Javis Jones (heel), veteran defensive end Brett Keisel (calf), big nose-tackle Steven McLendon (hamstring) and cough, cough Curtis Brown (illness) all saw action in practice on Friday and are listed as probable.
The best news of course is about the status of tight end Heath Miller (knee) who went through another full practice on Friday and is officially listed as probable with a big fat you better be ready to play we need your ass next to his name on the report. Though Miller will be evaluated by team doctors on Saturday, but after hitting the creatine monohydrate to boost his recovery chances, as of right now he is expected to make his season debut Sunday night baring a setback. So get ready to start screaming HEATHHHHHHHHHHH!
