The Steelers biggest losses this offseason have come along the defensive line, but today the team took measures to try and shore up that position.

According to Fox Sports 1′s NFL Insider Mike Garafolo, the Steelers have agreed to a two-year deal with former San Diego Chargers defensive tackle Cam Thomas.

A product of North Carolina, the 6-foot-4, 330 pound Thomas was drafted in the fifth round, 146th overall in the 2010 NFL Draft.

In his four years with the Chargers, Cam Thomas played in 54 games, starting in 15 of them while racking up 70 combined tackles (51 solo, 19 assists), with 6 sacks, 3 passes defended and and 1 interception.

Given the lack of bodies along the Steelers defensive line right now, it is believed that one option for the team could be to move defensive tackle Steve McClendon to defensive end and starting Thomas as the 3-4 nose tackle.
