The Pittsburgh Penguins are bringing back defenseman Rob Scuderi. He was an unrestricted free agent and agreed to a four-year contract with them this afternoon.
The deal will carry a salary-cap hit of $ 3.375 million. Scuderi, 34, was the Penguins’ fifth-round draft choice in 1998.
He was a member of their Stanley Cup-winning team in 2009, after which he signed a four-year, $ 13.6 million contract with Los Angeles as a free agent.
He earned a second Cup ring with the Kings in 2012.
Scuderi is strictly a defensive defenseman; his most productive offensive season in the NHL was 2008-09, when he put up one goal and 15 assists in 81 games with the Penguins.

What Pittsburgh Eats is Sausage - stacked with peppers, onions and sauce, on a great Mancini's Italian sausage bun. When the sauce starts to drip down your chin, the bun can work as a sponge so you don't lose a drop! The amounts of the sausage and spices can be adjusted to suit individual taste.
