Single Game Tickets Now On Sale; Steelers Have High Hopes For 2015

The Pittsburgh Steelers returned to the playoffs in 2014, largely thanks to the rise of second-year running back Le’Veon Bell. His absence in the playoffs due to an injury also led to the Steelers’ fall, as they were jettisoned out of the playoffs by the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card Round. In 2015, with Bell back healthy, the Steelers could be even better.

Bell is just one reason why Pittsburgh Steelers tickets are in demand for fans this season. Ticketmaster is the primary sales channel for Steelers tickets, and they also have the official secondary market deal via the NFL Ticket Exchange. Since they have access to primary and secondary inventory, Ticketmaster has implemented a resale button that fans can hit to see the availability of secondary and primary tickets, and the pricing associated with both. They have also integrated the checkout so buying secondary tickets is now treated in the same way as buying primary tickets on Ticketmaster, making the whole experience more convenient for fans.

Now could be the perfect time to land Steelers tickets, as preseason action is still over a month away and the 2015 NFL season doesn’t go live until September. That said, let’s take a look at the most and least expensive Steelers home games at Heinz Field in the upcoming campaign according to secondary market prices.

Most Expensive: 9/20/2015 vs. San Francisco 49ers | Avg: $307.88 | Get-in: $110

The San Francisco 49ers enter Heinz Field on September 20 and for the moment, register as Pittsburgh’s most expensive home game of 2015 on the secondary market. One obvious reason why is because it’s the Steelers’ home opener, while the 49ers still seem like a tough out on paper. Pittsburgh could lack as some punch with the aforementioned Bell possibly serving a suspension (depending on his appeal), but Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown could offer enough through the air to keep the visiting 49ers on their toes. Either way, fans from both sides could be in for a nasty fight, yet the Steelers’ most expensive home game barely gets over $300 on average. That could still change, however, as we get closer to September.

This game is in such high demand that there are just a few scattered seats around the stadium remaining in the primary market, whereas by clicking the resale button on the buying page many more options are available on the Steelers ticket exchange.

Cheapest: 11/1/2015 vs. Cincinnati Bengals | Avg: $234.26 | Get-in: $92

Fans wanting to see the Steelers during preseason play actually can get Steelers tickets even cheaper ($91.14 for an August battle with the Carolina Panthers), but come the regular season, their rivalry showdown with the Bengals at Heinz Field is their cheapest game at home according to the secondary market. That’s a surprise, especially since Andy Dalton and co. have been more than pesky the past four years and serve as one of Pittsburgh’s tougher opponents inside the AFC North. Pittsburgh should have the edge at home and usually fare well against the Cincy offense, but this should be a pretty close contest. Steelers and Bengals fans alike will get some bang for their buck with this one averaging out just over $234, while fans can hit the cheap seats for under $100.

Primary tickets in certain cases, but not all, are more expensive than resale prices on the NFL Ticket Exchange, and fans can toggle between primary and resale on the Steelers-Bengals event page to find the best deal for any particular location.
