The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed veteran long snapper Greg Warren to a one-year contract Wednesday.

Warren has been the Steelers’ long snapper for the last 10 seasons and has stayed relatively anonymous at a position that only gets noticed if there is a miscue.

Warren is one of only five Steelers players signed through next season who was on the teams that played in three Super Bowls and won two of them from 2005-10.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, strong safety Troy Polamalu, defensive end Brett Keisel and tight end Heath Miller are the others, and Polamalu and Keisel face uncertain futures.

Warren made $920,000 last season but counted just $635,000 against the Steelers’ salary cap since the North Carolina product signed a veteran minimum contract.
