Steelers Kickoff Time with Ravens has Changed

Kickoff for the Steelers-Ravens game originally scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 27 at 8:30 p.m. in Baltimore has been changed to a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff time.

The Steelers-Ravens game, played at M&T Bank Stadium, will be telecast by CBS.

The NFL made the change as a part of the league’s flex scheduling policy. The league is moving the New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings game to the 8:30 p.m. slot on Sunday Night Football.

In a related note, the Steelers-Broncos kickoff time for this Sunday, Dec. 20, will remain at 4:25 p.m. and will be on CBS, as the network protected the game.

There is still a chance that the Steelers-Browns game on Sunday, January 3, at 1 p.m. could be flexed.

For flex scheduling:

Flexible scheduling ensures quality matchups on Sunday night in those weeks and gives surprise teams a chance to play their way onto primetime. The NBC Sunday night time slot for “flex” weeks lists the game tentatively scheduled for Sunday night. Weeks 5-17 can be affected by flex scheduling. However, only two games may be flexed into Sunday Night between Week 5 and 10.

Only Sunday afternoon games are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, in which case the tentatively scheduled Sunday night game will be moved to an afternoon start time.
